What is a WERCS Registration?
UL's WERCSmart retail supply chain program represents a safety commitment to your customers, workers, families, and our environment.
WERCSmart provides a secure, permission-based platform that facilitates the safe exchange of upstream and downstream product information beJJReen manufacturers and retailers.
Product We Test ：
Formulated products
During the WERCSmart registration process, information about ingredients, e.g., water, ethanol, phosphoric acid, etc., are collected. Formulated Products can be identified when it is necessary to include ingredient formulations in order to validate potential safety hazards. Formulated products are the most common product category.
Articles
An article is a manufactured item other than a fluid or particle which under normal conditions does not pose a physical health or health risk to employees.
Common examples include:
Light bulbs – Products that do not contain any hazardous component or ingredient. (ex. – a non-mercury lightbulb)
Electronics – Circuit-board products without a battery.
Kits and gift packs – JJRo or more unrelated products (Formulated, Article or Enhanced Article) combined in a package that uses a single UPC.
Enhanced articles：
Enhanced articles include beverage products or products that include a lithium (ion or metal) battery when sold to the consumer.
Standards We Test To
WERCSmart’s product registration process is presented to you as a smart survey engineered to derive as many compliance and sustainability datapoints achievable with the highest standard of accuracy in the fewest amount of questions as possible.
What constitutes a product registration?
If your product, including all its’ variations, shares a common chemical formula, the product is to be included as one registration. This type of scenario is most common in paints and coating registrations where a single product comes in many colors.
In this case, all associated UPCs representing each color is assigned to the main product registration. WERCSmart allows up to 500 UPCs assigned to a product registration that share a common chemical formula.
Conversely, it is common for a fragrant product to require multiple registrations because each product variant possesses different chemical compositions.

Sample Requirements
The samples should be provided safely with standard shipping status. Please provide the samples with sterile barrier packaging if the product is planned to sell under sterile conditions.
