As smart home products continue to proliferate, smart power strips have become one of the hottest categories. Power strips exported to Europe require TUV certification. China JJR Laboratory is an authorized TUV witnessing testing laboratory, equipped with the capability to certify products according to the EN60884 standard. We are familiar with the EN60884 certification testing standards for smart sockets. Below is an introduction to the process and costs involved in obtaining TUV certification for smart power strips.
1. The EN60884 standard applies to household and similar use products intended for indoor or outdoor use, designed for alternating current with a rated voltage exceeding 50V but not exceeding 440V, and a rated current not exceeding 32A. For fixed sockets without threaded terminals, the maximum rated current is 16A.
2. The EN60884 standard does not include requirements for installed mounting boxes; it only includes requirements for surface-mounted installation boxes necessary for testing sockets.
3. The EN60884 standard is applicable to plugs with cable components and portable sockets, as well as plug-socket combinations that serve as parts of appliances, unless otherwise specified by related appliance standards.
4. The EN60884 standard does not apply to industrial plugs, sockets, and couplers, appliance couplers, ELV plugs, or fixed and portable sockets.

1. Provide the product manual and circuit schematic to China JJR Laboratory for a quotation.
2. Confirm the quotation, sign the quotation contract, and fill out the application form.
3. Send samples to China JJR Laboratory.
4. China JJR Laboratory conducts preliminary testing on the product.
5. If testing fails, the product enters the rectification process. (If the product passes testing, it proceeds directly to the next step.)
6. TUV engineers conduct witnessing tests at China JJR Laboratory.
7. Following the witnessing, China JJR Laboratory provides testing data to TUV.
8. TUV issues a test report and certification (such as TUV-MARK, TUV-GS, etc. Certifications requiring factory inspection will only be issued after a successful factory audit.)
9. Follow-up services.
TUV certification costs do not have a fixed price and depend on the actual product information for cost estimation. Generally, customers can prepare the product manual and export specifications and send the information to China JJR Laboratory engineers for a quote.
