Power adapters exported to Thailand need to apply for TISI certification, corresponding to the standard TIS 62368 Part 1-2563. It is important to note that this requirement only applies to power adapters that supply power to tablets and mobile phones.
TISI certification requires sending samples directly to a Thai laboratory for testing. If you have a CB or a relevant product report, you can also provide it for testing reference.
1. The holder of the TISI certification must be a local Thai company. If you do not have a local importer, the Chinese JJR laboratory can provide this service. One point to note is that the validity of the certificate is contingent upon the validity of the business license of the certificate holder.
2. The TISI product certification label must include the specific date, and the date must be within 3 months of submitting the sample. The TISI logo and QR code can only appear on the label after certification is completed.
3. TISI certification requires factory inspections, which occur every 3 years.
4. The prongs of the power adapter must also comply with Thailand's plug requirements.
5. The report for TISI certification only reflects the tested model.
Power adapters can apply for TISI certification as a series, but specific models need to be clarified. One certificate can cover up to 15 models. If applying for multiple certificates, they must be submitted separately, i.e., submit the next certificate after the previous one is issued.
The Chinese JJR laboratory cooperates directly with local Thai laboratories, ensuring a controllable cycle and assisting with factory inspections in Thailand.
