Amazon requires that all consumer products containing button or coin batteries and falling under the scope of 16 CFR Part 1263 must be tested and comply with the following regulations, standards, and requirements.
Consumer products containing button batteries include but are not limited to: calculators, cameras, flameless candles, light-up clothing, shoes, holiday decorations, keychain flashlights, musical greeting cards, remote controls, and clocks.
For consumer products containing button or coin batteries, the following regulations, standards, and requirements must be met:
1. 16 CFR Part 1263 — Safety Standard for Button or Coin Batteries and Consumer Products Containing Such Batteries.
2. ANSI/UL 4200a — Safety Standard for Products Containing Button or Coin Batteries.
