The cost of FCC certification depends on the category of certification. Different categories have different fees. Previously, FCC certification was divided into VOC, DOC, and ID categories. After the new regulation FCC 10-208 was issued, FCC certification is now divided into two main categories: SDoC and ID. On July 13, 2017, the FCC regulation officially took effect, and FCC certification was divided into SDoC and ID categories.
(1) Regular products (for electromagnetic compatibility EMC testing):
Examples include electronic scales, humidifiers, sweepers, electric fans, etc. If these products do not have wireless functionality, FCC-SDoC certification is required.
(2) Wireless products (requiring wireless testing):
Examples include mobile phones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, etc. FCC-ID certification is required.
(3) Other wireless products:
This refers to products that still function properly even without wireless capabilities, or products with USB interfaces that serve as data transfer functions. For these products, it is recommended to apply for both FCC-SDoC and FCC-ID certifications simultaneously.
1. Regular products without wireless functionality require FCC-SDoC certification, which costs approximately $200 to $700, with a turnaround time of 7 working days.
2. Wireless products such as mobile phones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, etc., require FCC-ID certification, which costs around $1,400 to $2,000 (depending on the specific product), with a turnaround time of about 4 weeks.

1. Submit the application form and sign the contract.
2. Prepare the test samples (wireless products require frequency tuning) and provide product materials.
3. Draft the report, obtain client approval, and issue the official report.
4. If it is FCC SDoC, the project is completed. If applying for FCC ID, submit the report and technical materials.
5. Review and issue the FCC ID certificate. We will send the official report and FCC ID certificate.
6. After obtaining FCC certification, the company can use the FCC logo and relevant statements on the product.
Note: Manufacturers applying for FCC ID certification for the first time need to register an FCC-FRN (Federal Registration Number) to establish the company profile. The issued certificate will have an FCC ID number, which is usually composed of a "manufacturer code" + "product code". The manufacturer code is a three-digit number or uppercase letter issued directly by the FCC. The product code can consist of numbers, letters, and dashes "-", but consecutive dashes are not allowed, and the first and last digits cannot be dashes. The code should not exceed 14 characters, and customers can customize this number.
