A power bank is a lithium battery-powered portable external battery used to charge mobile electronic devices. Other variants include hand warmers and phone cases that can also function as power banks.
Amazon may request relevant safety documentation for power banks at any time to verify compliance.
If you are selling power banks, Amazon may require you to provide relevant documentation to confirm product safety. For each product you apply to sell, Amazon requires you to submit documents proving that it has been tested and complies with applicable standards or regulations.
Amazon's policy requires that power banks sold through its website meet specific certification standards. If Amazon contacts you, please submit the following information to electronics-safety@amazon.com:
- Company name
- Seller ID / Vendor code
- Email address
- Phone number
- List of ASINs you are applying to sell
- Product images and manuals (if applicable) (Images should include all relevant safety information, compliance markings, and product details)
- Test reports issued by an ILAC ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, confirming that each product has been tested and meets the following requirements:
Power Bank
- ul 2056
Alternatively, if the product has not been tested under UL 2056, both the internal battery and the power bank must be tested separately:
Internal Battery (one of the following)
- ul 2054
- IEC 62133-2
- UL/CSA 62133
Power Bank (one of the following)
- IEC 60950-1
