The U.S. EPA and DOE launched the third-party certification process for Energy Star on January 1, 2011. Manufacturers wishing to label their products with the Energy Star logo must have them tested by an EPA-recognized laboratory, submit the test report to an EPA-recognized third-party certification body (CB), and receive approval to obtain the Energy Star certification and listing.
- In 2011, JJR Laboratory in China received approval from the U.S. EPA to become one of the few Energy Star certification bodies (CB) and testing agencies covering lighting and electronic products, providing a new Energy Star testing and certification service.
- Thanks to its high-quality and efficient services, JJR Laboratory has successfully assisted numerous domestic manufacturers in obtaining Energy Star® certification, while also receiving the latest U.S. EPA recognition, making it one of the global laboratories offering Energy Star® market sampling test services.
