What is the EN 61000 Standard?

EN 61000 is an EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing standard for electronic and electrical products. EMC testing evaluates the electromagnetic interference (EMI) a product emits and its resistance to external electromagnetic interference (EMS), which is one of the most critical indicators of product quality.

3. Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) Test (IEC61000-4-4):

- Test frequencies: 5kHz / 100kHz.

- Maximum test voltage: 4.0kV.

4. Surge Test (IEC61000-4-5):

- Current for test samples: Maximum input current of 16A.

- Maximum test voltage: ±6.4kV.

- Test waveform: 1.2/50µs.

5. Conducted Susceptibility Test (IEC61000-4-6):

- Key parameters considered.

6. Power Frequency Magnetic Field Test (IEC61000-4-8):

- Magnetic field strength at the center of the coil: 265 A/m.

7. Voltage Dips Test (IEC61000-4-11):

- Test voltage: Applicable only for AC 220-240V input products.
