The B-MARK certification is a domestic certification mark issued by the Polish Standard Certification Research Center. Before Poland joined the European Union, the B-MARK was a mandatory national certification mark. After joining the EU, the B-MARK became a voluntary certification mark. Only products that meet a series of European directives and relevant Polish laws on safety, hygiene, environmental protection, and consumer protection can be sold in the Polish market. Products proven to pose no harm to life safety or environmental protection can bear this mark. If a product does not have this mark, it indicates non-compliance with technical safety requirements and it is not allowed to be sold in the Polish market.
Any domestically produced or imported products that may endanger consumer safety, or products used to ensure life, maintain hygiene, and protect the environment, must bear the B-MARK (B symbol) on their packaging if they do not have the CE mark. The "B" stands for "Bezpieczny" in Polish, meaning "safe." Such products include fuels, machinery, household chemicals, precision electronic instruments, construction products including building materials, construction machinery, and transportation vehicles. The mark is a standard for national safety certification in Poland and is a voluntary safety mark for construction products entering the Polish market.
