What is TEMU RSL (Restricted Substances List)?

The TEMU platform has extremely strict requirements for the certification of RSL for electronic and electrical products. RSL, which stands for Restricted Substances List, mainly involves the detection of harmful substances such as phthalates, lead, and cadmium according to EU standards. TEMU requires all electronic and electrical products to pass RSL certification to ensure they meet EU safety standards.

RSL certification typically includes the following key reports: RSL Report (EU Lead and Cadmium Chemical Substance Detection Report), RSL Phthalate (EU RSL Phthalates Project Detection Report), and RSL SCCP (EU RSL Short-Chain Chlorinated Paraffins Project Detection Report). These reports are conducted by professional laboratories based on the requirements of the EU REACH regulations. They assess the content of harmful substances in products and compare them to the limits set by the REACH regulations. If the content of harmful substances in a product exceeds the prescribed limits, the product will not receive RSL Report certification and, therefore, cannot be sold in the EU market.

The REACH regulation is an important EU regulation for the management of chemical substances. Appendix 17 of REACH particularly emphasizes the strict limitations on chemical substances. For merchants who wish to sell products on Amazon Europe, it is essential to comply with REACH regulations and Appendix 17 requirements. Appendix 17 of REACH lists the restricted substances that must be adhered to, and the content of these substances in products must be strictly controlled within the specified range. Otherwise, the products will be prohibited from being sold in the EU.

Appendix XVI of the REACH regulation provides a detailed list of restricted substances and their applicable products. These restrictions ensure the safety of products circulating within the EU, preventing potential threats to consumer health from harmful substances.

For merchants looking to obtain product testing certification or learn more about related information, it is recommended to contact a professional testing laboratory. China JJR is a TEMU partner laboratory and an IEC 17025 authorized laboratory, offering low-cost test reports.
