Only registered products with the “SAFETY” mark are allowed to be sold in Singapore. Entities responsible for selling regulated goods to consumers in Singapore must register each model with the safety authority. Registration requires certification and test reports to verify compliance with mandatory product safety standards. Currently, Singapore mandates safety compliance but treats EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) as a voluntary requirement. Products can only enter the Singapore market for sale after obtaining PSB certification.
Singapore’s mandatory safety certification applies to 33 types of products, including:
- Audio products
