According to California Proposition 65 requirements, the California government updates its list of chemicals annually. This list currently includes nearly a thousand chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. If a product contains any of these listed chemicals and poses an exposure risk to consumers, businesses must affix warning labels within 12 months of the chemical being added to the list.
