Recently, Amazon officially released new requirements regarding the FCC compliance for Radio Frequency Devices (RFD) sold on Amazon.com in the United States. It emphasizes that all Radio Frequency Devices (RFD) must provide proof of FCC compliance and related information, otherwise, they will be removed from the platform.
According to Amazon's policy, all Radio Frequency Devices (RFD) must comply with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws. If you are unsure whether the product you are selling falls under the FCC's definition of an RFD, FCC regulations specify that RFD refers to any electronic or electrical product capable of emitting radio frequency energy. Currently, FCC-regulated RFD products include: Wi-Fi devices, Bluetooth devices, radios, broadcast transmitters, signal boosters, and devices using cellular technology, among others.
FCC-ID certification is a mandatory certification system implemented by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for radio frequency devices. This certification ensures that radio frequency devices operate within designated frequency bands and do not cause interference with other radio devices.
If you intend to sell RFD products on Amazon, according to the FCC radio frequency compliance regulations, you must take one of the following actions:
1. Provide FCC compliance authorization, including the FCC certification number or contact information for the responsible party defined by the FCC.
2. Declare that the product does not emit radio frequency energy or that the product does not require FCC radio frequency device authorization as per regulations. Fill out the FCC radio frequency compliance information form, which you can access via the corresponding link in the original text.
We will remove ASINs from the Amazon platform that lack the required FCC information until the information is provided.
