UL 174 Test Report for Household Storage Electric Water Heaters

Views :
Update time : 2024-09-20

Electric water heaters can be categorized into three types based on their heating power: storage type (also known as volumetric or heat storage type), instant type, and fast-heating type (also known as semi-storage type). Although the regULar fast-heating electric water heater and the dual-mode electric water heater are similar in size, their internal structures are quite different. CompaRED to storage electric water heaters, fast-heating electric water heaters are smaller in size but have higher power, making their heating speed faster than that of storage water heaters. However, fast-heating water heaters cannot achieve instant heating in spring and autumn; they still require preheating, meaning there is a waiting time. On the other hand, dual-mode electric water heaters can use the instant heating mode in spring, summer, and autumn, providing heat as soon as it is turned on.

UL 174 Test Report for Electric Water Heaters - Test Items:

- Temperature control and limitation tests

- Safety performance tests

- Insulation tests

- Fire and heat resistance tests

- Leakage tests

- Capacity and pressure tests

- Long-term operation tests

- Cleaning and maintenance tests

UL 174 Test Report Process for Electric Water Heaters:

1. Signing a contract (negotiating details and confirming product functions)

2. Filling out the application form (determining the testing standards based on product functions), sending samples with complete accessories, and providing full technical documentation

3. Conducting tests based on the application form and product functions
