Update time : 2025-01-18

Applicability of en55032:

EN55032 applies to multimedia equipment (MME) with an AC or DC rated voltage not exceeding 600V. MME includes information technology equipment, audio equipment, video equipment, broadcast receiver equipment, entertainment lighting control equipment, or a combination of these. Products previously under EN55013 and EN55022 also fall within the scope of EN55032. Multimedia equipment primarily intended for use in such settings is included.

Testing Scope of EN55032 in EU CE Certification(图1)

EU CE certification Testing Items:

1. Conducted disturbances

2. Radiated disturbances

3. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) immunity

4. Radiofrequency electromagnetic field immunity

5. Electrical fast transient/burst immunity

6. Surge immunity

7. Conducted immunity to RF fields

8. Power frequency magnetic field immunity

9. Voltage dips, short interruptions, and voltage variation immunity

Differences Between EN55032, EN55013, and EN55022:

1. EN55013 testing for disturbance power and radiated power is removed.

2. For wide-voltage products, tests are typically conducted at 230V (±10V) and 110V (±10V), using either 50Hz or 60Hz frequency.

3. Monitors and personal computers require testing with moving element color bar signals.

4. Broadcast receiver tuner ports must undergo asymmetric mode conducted tests.

Steps for EU CE Certification:

1. Fill out the application form, provide product images, and a materials list. Determine the applicable directives and harmonized standards.

2. Define the detailed requirements for product compliance.

3. Prepare test samples.

4. Test the product and verify its compliance.

5. Draft and maintain the technical documentation as required by the directives.

6. Upon passing the tests and completing the report, issue the CE certification report.

7. Affix the CE mark and issue the EC Declaration of Conformity.

Required Documentation for EN55032 Test Reports:

1. User manual and circuit schematic

2. Circuit block diagram (also called module function diagram)

3. PCB layout and component placement diagram

4. Operational description (explanation of the block diagram) and bill of materials (BOM list)

5. Label specifications and antenna details (e.g., gain charts)

6. Charger LVD report and fixed frequency software (software to maintain transmission at a specific frequency, especially for BT and WiFi modules)
