A PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is also known as a circuit board and is primarily used for electronic components as their carrier. The PCB is an essential electronic component that serves as the support structure and electrical connection platform for electronic components. Since it is manufactured using electronic printing techniques, it is referred to as a "printed" circuit board.
One of the common tests for PCB exports to the European Union is the RoHS test. China’s JJR Laboratory is an IEC 17025-accredited laboratory that provides relevant testing services based on the standards:
- 2011/65/EU
- 2015/863/EU
- Fee (USD): $420
- Turnaround Time: 7 business days
- Sample Requirement: 1 PCB sample for RoHS testing
A PCB consists mainly of three materials: pads, substrate, and paint. Each material can be tested separately. For instance, if only the pad material needs testing, the pad from the PCB board is taken for RoHS testing. Alternatively, the entire PCB board can be tested as a mixed sample without separating materials.
1. Customer Submission: Provide product images, BOM (Bill of Materials), and an application form.
2. Quotation: JJR Laboratory will evaluate the provided information and issue a quotation.
3. Order Confirmation: Once the customer confirms the quotation, they sign the application form and service agreement, pay the full testing fee, and prepare the test samples. (Our staff will coordinate with the customer on the exact sample quantity.)
4. Sample Submission: The customer ships the samples to the laboratory for testing.
5. Testing & Reporting: If the test is successful, the RoHS test report is prepared and issued.
Note:
- If the sample fails the test, material modifications (e.g., replacing raw materials) are required, and the sample must be re-tested until it passes.
