Views :
Update time : 2024-06-08

Indonesia's SDPPI recently introduced a new regulation [NOMOR 109 TAHUN 2024], replacing the previous regulation [NOMOR 11 TAHUN 2021]. The summary is as follows:

1. The number of SDPPI recognized laboratories has been reduced: HKT Device laboratories decreased from 39 to 37, and NON-HKT Device laboratories decreased from 126 to 105.

2. The address of the testing laboratory shown in the test report must match the address registered on the SDPPI website. If there is any different address, SDPPI will reject the application.

3. All test reports must have a digital signature.

4. Information about the testing laboratory's scope must be consistent with the SDPPI website. Additionally, updates to the following information about the testing laboratory need to be reported to SDPPI:

   - Testing laboratory name;

   - Testing laboratory address;

   - Testing laboratory contact information:

     a) Contact person's name and position

     b) Contact phone number

     c) Email address

These regulations are mandatory from April 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Additionally, regarding Indonesia SDPPI type approval, please note the following:

1. According to announcement [Nomor: 457/DJSDPPI.5/SP.04.09/06/2021], a summary of test results must be provided in the format required by SDPPI.

2. According to regulation [NOMOR 3 TAHUN 2024], the provided test report must not be older than 5 years, meaning it is only valid within 5 years from the date of issuance. Additionally, from May 23, 2024, SRD devices must also be labeled with a warning mark. Previously, SRD products were excluded, but the new announcement states that all products need warning labels, with no exemptions mentioned.

3. According to regulation [NOMOR 177 TAHUN 2024], mobile phones and tablet devices, as telecommunication equipment used within 20 cm of the body and with radiation emission power exceeding 20 mW, will implement head SAR limits starting from April 1, 2024. From August 1, 2024, torso/body limb SAR limits will be mandatory. From the date of mandatory implementation, mobile phones and tablet devices applying for SDPPI type approval must provide SAR test reports. SAR testing must be conducted in local laboratories in Indonesia.
