Providing WEEE 3R Recycling Rate Assessment Reports, WEEE Labeling Requirements Assessment, and WEEE Regulatory Consultation and Technical Support Services for EU WEEE Directive
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) is a directive addressing the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment waste. The current EU WEEE directive is 2012/19/EU, effective from August 13, 2012. It aims to reduce the generation of waste from electrical and electronic equipment, promoting recycling, reuse, and recovery of these items.
The new WEEE Directive, 2012/19/EU, was issued by the EU on July 24, 2012, and came into effect on August 13, 2012. Starting August 15, 2018, nearly all electrical and electronic products (EEE) must be regulated under six major categories listed in Annex III of the directive.
1. Material Reuse and Recovery: EEE products must meet material reuse and recycling rate requirements specified in Part 3 of Annex V.
2. Producer Registration: EU member states must prepare a producer registry as per Article 2. Producers supplying EEE via remote communication must register in the member country where they sell the product (registration is specific to each country and not transferable). If a producer does not register in the target country, they must register through an authorized representative.
3. Waste Bin Labeling: EEE products must display a waste bin symbol.
- Is my product subject to WEEE regulations?
- Which EEE product category does my product belong to, and what are the recycling rate targets?
China’s JJR Laboratory Testing offers WEEE 3R Recycling Rate Assessment Reports, WEEE Labeling Requirements Assessment, WEEE regulatory consultation, and technical support services to companies exporting electronic and electrical equipment to the EU, assisting them in achieving compliance with the WEEE directive.

China’s JJR Laboratory Testing provides 3R assessment services within the WEEE directive’s scope and issues assessment reports.
- Pioneers in Chinese Third-Party Testing and Certification: A comprehensive third-party organization integrating testing, calibration, inspection, certification, and technical services.
- Extensive Network and Localized Services: Offering prompt, localized services.
- Efficient Independent Laboratories: Providing professional and reliable testing services.
The 3R assessment results in an assessment report, not a testing report. Our 3R assessment service does not include any chemical testing.
The standard duration for a 3R assessment is 10 working days. For complex products, please consult with China JJR Laboratory Testing for an estimated timeline based on the complexity of the sample.
