PSB certification is overseen by the Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (formerly known as Spring Singapore). PSB stands for the Productivity and Standards Board of Singapore. It is now managed by the SPRING (Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board), responsible for the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme (CPS Scheme) to ensure the safety of consumer electrical appliances, electronics, gas appliances, and products. Before entering Singapore, products must be applied for PSB certification by a registered company in Singapore. According to the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations, registration for regulated goods must be based on the certificate of conformity (CoC) issued by a designated third-party conformity assessment body (CAB). All suppliers of regulated goods to Singapore consumers must first register as registered suppliers with the Safety Authority. Registered suppliers must register each model of regulated goods with the Safety Authority, accompanied by a CoC issued by a designated CAB or MRA partner based in Singapore (i.e., CAB (local) or CAB (foreign MRA)).

Preparation of the safety label: Certification bodies (local) or certification bodies (foreign MRA) should assign a certification number to registered suppliers who have submitted controlled goods for certification. Registered suppliers should only label the controlled goods after receiving them.
