SDoC, or Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity, refers to the process in which equipment suppliers test their devices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Devices that meet these standards must provide relevant documentation (such as the SDoC declaration) to the public as proof of compliance. The SDoC policy simplifies the previous complex FCC certification requirements, replacing the existing FCC VoC and FCC DoC. It allows for the use of electronic labels, reduces cumbersome import declarations and requirements, and provides the option to either mark or not mark the FCC logo. The conformity statement must include necessary details such as the name, address, or website of the local U.S. supplier.
SDoC certification applies to general electronic products that do not have wireless functions, such as displays, lighting, power supplies, home appliances, etc. This includes personal computers and their peripherals; home appliances; power tools; audio/video products; lighting; toys; security products, etc.
