How to Get a UL 964 Test Report?

As winter approaches, many Amazon sellers are listing electric heating products. These items are subject to strict scrutiny regarding UL certification by Amazon. Some sellers report that products lacking proper certifications may face delisting risks. So, how can sellers obtain a UL 964 report for these products?

 

Product Examples and Scope of Application:

1. UL 964 Standard Coverage:  

This standard applies to electric blankets, bed covers, quilts, sheets, mattress pads, mattresses, heated boots, and other bedding products that comply with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70. These items operate on 120V, single-phase AC circuits.

 

2. General Product Design Requirements:  

- All heated pads must be wired and equipped with a switch or one or two user-adjustable temperature controllers.  

- Heated pads may also include temperature-regulating devices for control.  

- If a heated pad is connected to circuits other than 120V AC or used with waterbeds, mechanical beds, etc., additional studies must be conducted considering its intended purpose.  

 

UL 964 Test Items for Electric Blankets:

1. Leakage Current Test  

2. Input Test  

3. Leakage Current Test Under Damp Conditions  

4. Normal Temperature Rise Test  

5. High Voltage Resistance Test  

 

Steps to Apply for Approval to Sell Electric Heating Products

Amazon Policy Requirements:  

Amazon requires mobile power banks and similar products sold through its platform to meet specific certification standards. If contacted by Amazon, submit the following information to electronics-safety@amazon.com:

1. Company Name  

2. Seller ID / Vendor Code  

3. Email Address  

4. Phone Number  

5. List of ASINs You Are Applying to Sell  

6. Product Images and Manuals (if applicable)  

- Images should include all relevant safety information, compliance markings, and product details.  

 

Additionally, provide a test report issued by an ILAC ISO 17025-accredited laboratory (e.g., China’s JJR Laboratory), confirming that each product has been tested and meets the following requirements.
