Update time : 2025-11-03

To sell exhaust fans on Amazon US (which usually have similar safety and performance requirements as electric ventilators or air curtains), products must meet the relevant safety standards and provide the corresponding test report, such as the ul 705 test report. UL 705 is a U.S. safety testing standard for electric ventilators, ensuring that products do not pose hazards to users, the environment, or the equipment itself during use.

For listing and selling electrically poweRED products like exhaust fans on Amazon US, a ul test report is typically required. Having a UL test report enhances consumer trust and improves the product’s market competitiveness.

UL 705 Test Report Application Process

1. Project Application:

Submit an application to a testing laboratory accredited with ISO 17025, such as China’s JJR Laboratory or other qualified laboratories.

2. Document Preparation:

- Prepare relevant product information, including but not limited to: product name, model, production batch number, etc.

- Provide electrical schematics, PCB layout, BOM (Bill of Materials), and user manuals.

- Submit applicant and manufacturer information.

3. Product Testing:

Send product samples to the laboratory for testing. The testing process may include electrical characteristics, appearance inspection, electrical safety, and mechanical safety to ensure compliance with UL 705 standards.

4. Drafting the Report:

A certification engineer will compile a draft UL 705 test report based on the qualified test data.

5. Report Review:

The engineer will review the complete report to ensure accuracy and compliance.

6. Issuance of the Final Report:

Once the review is completed without errors, the testing institution or laboratory will issue the official UL 705 test report.

Costs and Processing Time

The cost and duration of obtaining a UL test report vary depending on the product type, testing requirements, and the laboratory. Generally, the cost ranges from $550 to $700, and the processing time is 5 to 7 days.

While UL test reports typically do not have an official expiration date, they may need updates due to changes in product types, standard requirements, or Amazon policies. It is recommended to regularly check and update the test report to ensure compliance in the marketplace.
