What is the U.S. CPC Certification?

CPC certification, or the Children’s Product Certificate, is a certificate issued by a third-party laboratory authorized by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The certificate is based on test data from regulatory-compliant product testing.

CPC certification applies to all products primarily intended for children aged 12 and under, such as toys, cribs, children’s clothing, etc. If a product is manufactured in China and sold in the U.S., a CPC certificate must be provided as a mandatory requirement in the U.S.

What are the Basic Requirements for U.S. CPC Certification?

1. The CPC certificate must be based on testing results from a CPSC-recognized third-party testing laboratory.

2. The certificate must be issued by the seller, although a third-party lab can assist in drafting the CPC certificate.

3. The children’s product must meet all applicable safety rules and regulations.

What Information Does the U.S. CPC Certificate Include?

5. Product production date and location: the production date should include month and year, and the address should be at the city level.
