How Much Does a Toy CPC Certification Cost?

Views :
Update time : 2024-06-16

The cost for CPC Certification of toy products can be determined based on the material of the product itself. Generally, a single material costs around $200. The specific cost depends on the tests required, and if the toy contains multiple materials, the cost will increase accordingly.

The CPSC has published a total of 38 standards. Common test items for toy products include:

- Toys:

  - CPSIA total lead + phthalates;

  - ASTM F963 Toy Safety Standard;

  - 16 CFR Part 1501 Small Parts (covered by ASTM F963);

  - 16 CFR Part 1510 Rattles (required for rattles, covered by ASTM F963);

  - 16 CFR Part 1505 Electrically Operated Toys (required for electric toys).

- Children's Clothing:

  - CPSIA total lead + phthalates.

CPC Certification Requirements:

1. Identification information of the product covered by this certificate.

2. Each CPSC children's product safety rule applicable to the product.

3. Identification of the U.S. importer or domestic manufacturer certifying compliance of the product.

4. Contact information for the person maintaining test records.

5. Date and place of manufacture of the product.

6. Date and place where the product was tested for compliance with the applicable regulations.

7. Identification of any third-party, CPSC-accepted laboratory on whose testing the certificate depends.

Steps for CPC Certification for Children's Toys:

1. Project Application: Submit an application to the regulatory testing institution.

2. Preparation of Materials: Prepare the relevant certification documents according to the requirements.

3. Product Testing: Send the sample to the laboratory for testing.

4. Report Compilation: Certification engineers compile the report based on the qualified test data.

5. Submission for Review: Engineers submit the complete report for review.

6. Certificate Issuance: After the report is reviewed and confirmed to be accurate, the certificate is issued.
