The Consumer Goods (Mini Motorcycles) Safety Standard came into effect in Australia on December 18, 2019. This standard requires sellers to provide products that meet specific requirements and offer safety-related information to Australian buyers.
The standard mandates that when selling mini motorcycles to Australian consumers, sellers must provide safety warnings, an English user manual with usage instructions, and adhere to specific design and manufacturing requirements for the product. 1. Ensure safety warnings are displayed on the product or packaging:
The following safety warning labels must be permanently affixed to the mini motorcycle (the diagrams below can be adjusted proportionally):
2. All mini motorcycles must have a swing tag containing the following warnings. If the mini motorcycle is provided in packaging, the packaging must also display the following warnings (the diagrams below can be adjusted proportionally):
3. Recall any unsafe products sold to Australian buyers according to the mandatory standards.
