Chair export to the EU requires CE certification. If your products need to be exported to the EU, feel free to contact us.
• CE certification is the EU's safety certification mark, applicable to products that do not endanger human, animal, or goods safety. For chairs, the main CE certification standard is EN 12520, which specifies the strength, durability, and safety requirements for domestic chairs. In addition, there are other standards applicable to different types of chairs:
• EN 1022: Focuses on the stability of chairs.
• EN 581-1/EN 581-2: Specifies safety and performance requirements for outdoor chairs.
• EN 15373: Specifies strength, lifespan, and safety requirements for non-domestic chairs.
1. Confirm the certification agency and communicate to finalize the product and fill out the application form.
2. The manufacturer prepares product documentation, including the manufacturer's information and test samples.
3. Submit the above documents to the certification agency, which will develop a certification test plan.
4. Sample testing, record the test data. If the tests do not meet certification requirements, the manufacturer must make necessary adjustments.
5. Once testing is passed and meets certification requirements, the CE certificate will be issued.
Chair furniture CE certification testing includes: structural safety tests, stability tests, strength and durability tests, etc. To prevent sample damage and avoid delays in the certification process, manufacturers can provide two samples when submitting. This is the process for chair CE certification.
