Amazon Electric Heater CSA C22.2 No. 46 Certification

In addition to the CSA22.1 and SOR/2016-181 testing requirements for electric kettles discussed in a previous article, Amazon's Canada site now also mandates compliance with CSA C22.2 No. 46 for portable electric heaters. Relevant sellers shoULd prepare in advance for this requirement.

A portable electric heater is a movable device poweRED by electricity, designed to heat a small area.  

Examples of portable electric heaters must comply with the regulation CSA C22.2 No. 46 as required by Amazon.  

Required Information

Amazon may request the following information at any time, so it is recommended that you keep these details readily accessible:  

- Your company name (if applicable) and seller ID.  

- Your contact information, including email address and phone number.  

- A list of all portable electric heaters you list for sale.  

- Images of all listed portable electric heaters. Images must include:  

  - Safety information.  

  - Compliance markings (if applicable).  

  - Product hazard warnings.  

- Descriptions and manuals for all portable electric heaters you list for sale.  

- Testing reports issued by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, verifying each product has been tested and meets the applicable requirements.

1. In Seller Central, go to the Performance tab and select Account Health.  

2. Under Manage Your Compliance in the bottom-right corner, click Product Compliance Requests.  

3. To add compliance information or submit an appeal for a single product, click Add/Appeal Compliance.  

   - For multiple products, select the relevant products and click Take Action on Selected Products at the top of the product requirements table.  

4. Provide compliance documentation and information in the Submit Documents section, or provide appeal information and documents in the Appeal Request section.  

5. Click Submit for Approval to send the information to Amazon for review.
