Product Examples

1. Hoverboard

A scooter product or electric scooter is a self-propelled two-wheeled electric device that is powered by an onboard battery pack and has two wheels with a board between the wheels for the rider to stand and balance on. The user can move the device in the desired direction by shifting his/her weight. Self-propelled two-wheeled devices do not have handlebars.

2. Self-balancing scooters/electric unicycles

A self-balancing scooter or electric unicycle is a self-propelled electric device that is powered by an onboard battery pack and has one or two centrally located wheels with a small platform on either side for the rider to stand on while in motion. The user can move the device in the desired direction by shifting his/her weight. Self-propelled electric unicycles do not have handlebars.

3. Electric Skateboard

Electric skateboards have multiple wheels and come with additional battery packs and power systems to help the rider increase torque during travel. Electric skateboards may have a handheld remote control that allows the rider to control the skateboard during use.

4. Electric Scooter/Electric Kickboard

Electric scooters can take many different forms: electric kickboards, foldable scooters, and ride-on scooters.

5. Self-balancing vehicles

Self-balancing vehicles may have one or two wheels. These devices are powered by a rechargeable battery pack and balance the device by the rider's shifting weight.

6. Electric bicycle (assisted bicycle)

An electric-assist bicycle (pedelec) is a two-wheeled device used for personal transportation. Similar to an analog bicycle, an electric-assist bicycle has an additional battery and power system to increase torque when the rider is traversing elevated or rough terrain.

7. Electric tricycle (assisted tricycle)

An electric-assisted trike is the equivalent of an electric-assisted bicycle, but with an extra wheel.

If you are selling electric transportation equipment, you must comply with the following standards and regulations:

Relevant documents for each ASIN (please add the ASIN number in the file name). If your product contains the audit object of the Radio Waves Law, please provide relevant certification documents of the Radio Waves Law.

Please provide all of the following information:

1. Relevant test standard certification

① Any product other than electric-assisted bicycles (such as hoverboards, self-balancing scooters/electric unicycles, electric skateboards, electric scooters/electric kickboards, self-balancing vehicles) requires documents proving that all products you are applying to list have passed ANSI/CAN/UL2272 certification;

② When your product is an electric-assisted bicycle product (such as an electric-assisted bicycle (assisted bicycle), an electric-assisted tricycle (assisted tricycle)), you need documents proving that the product you are applying to release has been certified as an approved type:

1. A photo of a label containing the green TS logo, company name and TS qualification number applicable to electric-assisted bicycles;

2. A copy of the official gazette which can confirm the number.

2. Documents proving that all products you are applying to list have passed the Electrical Equipment and Materials Safety Act (PSE) certification

Specified Electrical Equipment and Materials (PSE)

1. A copy of the business registration form for manufacturing or importing electrical equipment and materials. The copy must include the receipt stamp and type classification table of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI); or, the relevant information on the manufacturing or importing of electrical equipment and materials registered in the "Security Net" of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (including the type classification table)

2. Label photo (the PSE logo and the name of the notified supplier and the name and rated voltage of the registered conformity assessment body must be clearly displayed on the product)

3. Certificate of Conformity (The document must be issued by a registered conformity assessment body and confirm the model nameplate rating.)

4. If there is a discrepancy between the name of the notifier on the label and the name on the business notification, please provide a certificate approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

5. Inspection records (all final products must be tested)

・Lithium-ion battery

Non-specified electrical equipment and materials (PSE)

1. A copy of the business registration form for manufacturing or importing electrical equipment and materials. The copy must include the receipt stamp and type classification table of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI); or, the relevant information on the manufacturing or importing of electrical equipment and materials registered in the "Security Net" of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (including the type classification table)

2. Label photo (the PSE logo and the name of the notified supplier and the name and rated voltage of the registered conformity assessment body must be clearly displayed on the product)

3. If there is a difference between the notifier name on the label and the name in the business notification, please provide a certificate approved by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

4. Inspection records (all final products must be tested)

For lithium-ion batteries outside the legal scope:

1. Volume energy density calculation results

2. Specifications, etc. (source of evidence for confirmation of volumetric energy density).

3. Documents proving that the product you are applying to publish has passed the Radio Law certification and specifies the small power bureau, all of the following information

Designation of small power companies

1. Certificate of Conformity (issued by an officially certified assessment body and the document should contain the GITEKI number on the product label)

2. Label images containing the GITEKI logo

In the case of weak radio power, any of the following information:

1. The weak radio equipment compliance mark (ELP mark or TELEC mark) on the product itself or on the outer packaging

2. Documents indicating that the product complies with weak radio equipment

For products that have obtained PSE mark certification:

If your product has obtained PSE mark certification, the following documents are also valid:

A copy of the business registration form for manufacturing or importing electrical equipment and materials (the copy must include the receipt stamp and type classification table of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan); or, information on manufacturing or importing electrical equipment and materials registered on the "Security Net" of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (including the type classification table)

PSE mark certification certificate (this document must contain information such as the product model and rated voltage, and must be consistent with the ASIN model; in addition, please provide a table of correspondence between the product model and ASIN)

If you do not provide the required information by the applicable deadline, Amazon may:

●Delete related product information;

●Suspend your ability to add new products and/or publish products;

●Withhold any amounts due to you;

●File a lawsuit.
