This policy applies to mattresses sold in conjunction with cribs, cradles, bassinets, or sleep accessory products (as defined in the Cribs, Cradles, and Bassinets Regulations).
Amazon requires all children’s mattresses to be tested and compliant with the following regulations, standards, and requirements:
- SOR/2016-152 (Cribs, Cradles, and Bassinets Regulations)
- SOR/2018-83 (Consumer Products Containing Lead Regulations)
- SOR/2016-193 (Surface Coating Materials Regulations - Lead)
- SOR/2016-188 (Phthalates)
- Textile Labelling Act and Textile Labelling and Advertising Regulations
You must maintain the following information, as Amazon may request it at any time. It is recommended to have these details readily available for submission:
- Product codes or models displayed on the detail page for all children’s mattresses.
- Product descriptions and manuals for children’s mattresses.
- Photos showing product labels, relevant safety information, compliance markings, hazard warnings, and all sides of the product packaging.
- Test reports issued by an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory (e.g., JJR Laboratory in China) demonstrating compliance with the above regulations, standards, and requirements.
- Test reports must include images of the product to confirm that the tested product matches the one listed on the detail page.
Note: All documents, test reports, or certificates submitted to Amazon must be authentic and in their original (unaltered) format.
If you fail to provide the required information, Amazon reserves the right to take further action under the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement, including but not limited to removing the relevant product listings.

Textile Permanent Label Requirements:
- Labels must typically be made from durable materials and either sewn onto the product or permanently printed on the product in a manner that ensures the label remains intact during use.
- Labels generally include the following information:
- Distributor information
- Product composition details (fiber content expressed as a percentage)
- Country of origin
- Warning information
- Precautions
- Other relevant product information
Product Composition Details Requirements:
- Fiber names and their content must be indicated for all fibers comprising 5% or more of the product, expressed as a percentage of the total fiber weight.
- Fiber names must generally be listed in descending order of their percentage content.
